A very well known debt collector sent me a claim for an old closed account for $12,000, I tried to negotiate with them and asked them for un-redacted documents and they kept sending me a bunch of scary legal forms and requests to garnish my wages. I tried to work things out on my own, but I could not understand what all these legal documents meant. I contacted Mr. Douglas and explained my situation. He set me up on a very reasonable payment plan, which no other attorney had done, and in three months I received a letter from the debt collector that they had dropped the case completely! I loved the online portal used to communicate with Wakhisi-Douglas because I can see all my communications with them and documents. I'm not sure what they did, but I went from $12,000 debt to 0, thank you Wakhisi-Douglas!!!

I attempted for about a year+ to get our case to move forward, but organizationally they couldn't seem to get it together. I heard multiple times from their employee that mans their phone that "they'd have [the attorney] call us back" and never received a call back despite calling every couple of months. Considering our case was more or less a copy of a neighbor's case that they had just won, Chuck seemed eager and confident to take our case on. I even ran across Chuck Douglas in person at the court house where he told me they were working on our case.

They sped through getting paperwork to me when I first called up Chuck through my neighbor's recommendation. But when I tried to get a form corrected to include my fellow housemates we ended up in a clerical blackhole. So 1 star from me because their customer service is apparently terrible and they wasted months of valuable time we could have spent pursuing other attorneys.

The staff seemed nice enough, but I could not recommend them for anything that is important enough to need a lawyer for.

If you have ANY LEGAL ISSUE... this firm is NOT the one. They have HIGH turnover and the partners must have inability to monitor their inability to perform because DUE TO LACK OF BEING EFFICIENT..they failed to stay on point with my court needs..lost and 4 months later didnt have the courage to conference nor advise me. So over two yeara of legal pursuit and ive lost to the crook that caused my matter and the very one that should have saved me put me deeper in the ditch. Pathetic !!!

Do not go here and waste you’re time & money with this law firm. Mr Douglas don’t do nothing but sell clients dreams and take you’re money, this man has know idea what he’s doing and will tell you what you wanna hear so he can get paid.

Since i have hired them to take my case they have been nothing but unindustrious , apathetic, and indolent. If you get Monique Milner for your case I feel your pain. She never replies to emails, never gives clients calls back, does not care or take the time to even answer questions through their client portal. It sickens me how even asking to try to talk to another lawyer in the firm they too don't and won't call a client back. Please reconsider hiring them. They will treat a client with nothing but disrespect and will disregard all their questions and concerns...Goodluck. because I'm not wihaving any with this law firm.
