Good day! Attorney Blackwell / Law group is the perfect attorney to retain if you have money to throw away and time to lose. I officially retained Ms. Blackwell in September 2022 (Retainer paid in full) for a visitation and child support modification petition on an existing order. The case remained in an idle state until July 2024 after I began calling the clerk's office for updates on my case, filing documents on my behalf expressing my concerns of lack of communication with my attorney, terminating her service and filing a grievance with the State bar. There isn't much more to add other than recommending you read their past- present reviews and do thorough research before retaining this firm for your legal needs. Be careful and good luck out here!

I paid $150 for a consultation with Ms. Blackwell. It took me an hour to just explain to her what I need and why I was contacting her because she interrupted me every 30 seconds trying to give her explanation of what she thought I wanted to hear and making assumptions as to what she thought should and should be. I wanted to hang up 15 minutes into the phone call. Most people actively listening and take notes and saving their questions till the end, She interrupted me so many time I kept losing track of what I was trying to explain to her. Then went on to tell me to get some paperwork from DFAS that even I knew I would not legally be able to obtain without a lawyer and if she did the leg work for me it would cost me more. I didn’t need her worrying about my pockets, if I got to do the leg work myself there’s no need for me to contact a law firm.

I hired Ms Blackwell for my custody case .. I was on payment plan to pay $1,500, it was a trying time and my funds were very short due to a low paying job.. nonetheless I paid $200-250 each check..
All the while I could never make contact with her. Not emails, calls, nor texts. The only time I received the email invoices to request the payments… I assumed maybe AFTER full payment she would be more communicative.. I paid total $1,600.

Shortly after paying in full she withdrew from the case and ran with the money.

I even reached out to the “positive reviews” via Facebook to inquire if she was good, and maybe my impatience to see my Child was the issue, but unfortunately they seemed to be fake accounts or maybe possibly paid reviews (they STILL have yet to respond to my messages)

THANK GOD my child’s mother and I were able to work out our relationship for our son, but I was Very Disappointed in Ms Blackwell services and hope everyone will trust these reviews and will STAY AWAY!

I hired Kimberly Blackwell to handle my divorce, she took my money and ran. Why you playing with people lives, this ain't no game grow up little girl. Never meet her in person, only spoke with her on the phone on 7/28/23 an 10/25/23 .Then I told to start using the clio app. But she doesn't respond it either. So I told her via the clio app she was fired.

She still hasn't respond.

However she respond to Capital One because I requested a full refund. She filed a motion to withdraw 1-5-23
She still haven't responded to me or my Attorney
