This place just doesn’t care about customers anymore. Ever since this location was sold to site one the service has gone downhill. The last straw for me was on Friday. I went there to buy a couple of yards of garden soil for a personal project. There were no other customers there. I saw a total of five employees. I asked the lady at the desk if I could buy some garden soil. She instructed me to go out with my vehicle to where the garden soil was located and they would load it. I waited 15 minutes and the loader never moved. It was parked the whole time. I walked back inside and she said someone would be with me shortly. I waited another 15 minutes and still nothing. I finally gave up and left.

The whole time the loader never moved. I saw three employees inside, including the one I spoke with. There were two employees outside one was operating a forklift loading block onto an empty flatbed trailer. The other one didn’t appear to be doing anything. There were no other customers there the entire time I was there.

I drove from this location to Broadway landscape who was more than happy to load me up with a couple yards of garden soil and the entire transaction took a grand total of 10 minutes. You lost a customer that had been going there every year several times or more than 20 years.

Further, the company I work for does a lot of business with site one as well. It’s a national company and we have a national contract with site one. I’ll be using every bit of influence I have to get that changed because these people are a joke and we have similar problems with this location with our work supplies.

We just dropped by to get some rock to fill in a few spots in the yard. The woman working the counter was so friendly and helped us locate the right color. It has been a few years since we purchased our original load so we definitely needed the help. Such great customer service!

APASTPERSPECTIVE

The employees are always super friendly and willing to help and their prices or the best in the area. My reason for giving 3 stars is the new SiteOne website is absolute garbage. The site is practically worthless with no prices listed (dont create an account it still wont show you) and super hard to navigate. The old Wittkopf website was far superior to this one.

After looking for material online, I stopped in to make my purchase and pick up the material. I walked into the office to find three ladies behind the counter, one was on the phone, and I was the only customer inside. No one bothered to acknowledge my presence or greet me. I checked out the material on display and had to ask one of them to assist me on prices. I was helped by the young lady with a knee brace on. During the course of our brief contact, she seemed inconvenienced by my questioning and gave me prices which were different then posted online, and her knowledge about the product was mediocre at best. Due to the lack of desire to help a customer and the appearance I was an inconvenience, I left and took my business elsewhere.

Looked online for garden soil and bark in my area. This place is very close to my house and was less expensive compared to the others in the area. I went in today after work for the first time. They had a few people there already but I was quickly greeted by Colette L., which from what I could tell was the only person inside. Once it was "my turn" (maybe 2 mins at most) I said that I wanted to get the premium garden soil that I saw online, but that I only had a 1/2 ton truck and asked what a half yard of soil would weigh. She said approximately 900 lbs. (awesome, I have hauled 1500 lbs before but like to baby my truck) I bought 1/2 a yard, and asked where to go as I had never been here before. She said, no problem go around the back, its the third pile from the corner. If your like me, when you are unsure of your surroundings you see 18 corners....I drove around back and parked in the middle of the road and got out of my truck, there was a bearded guy in a huge front loaded right behind me. I said, I'm not sure where I am supposed to be, but I bought this, and handed him the receipt. He was very friendly and said, it is over there but stay here and I will bring it to you. He loaded up my truck and I was on my way. Total time there about 10 mins.

I will be back tomorrow, and the next day for 2 more loads. Then next week for bark.

Way overpriced. The scale is in dire need of upgrading. I was overcharged for the material I got because they couldn't figure out the scale and why it didn't weigh out properly. Won't use them again.

Went to get a yard of garden topsoil. The yard person loaded everyone that came in except me. i waited while he loaded small trucks. He changed the bucket on his loader and loaded a big truck. Then back to the small bucket and he loaded a couple more small loads for other people. Another big truck came in and the yard man switched the bucket to load him and I waited long enough. I won't be back! There are other business that need business.
