I recently had the best experience with S &A Construction. They built a one car garage, screen porch, and deck on my property. Prior to the build they were patient with me and listened to my vision of the project. We sat down and talked about details, designs were drawn up and reviewed, and I was involved in making choices regarding design from choices of siding on the garage to the type of outdoor lighting. We even went to the nursery together to select plantings for the foundation. Natasha kept me informed of when inspections were anticipated and who would be in my home. Ed was hands on and would visit the job site frequently to ensure that all the work was being done to expectations. I did have a few changes along the way and these were easily updated in the overall plan.
The workmanship is great. I have had many compliments from family and friends when they visit the new space. Even people who walk by the house are complimentary about the additions. I plan to use S & A construction for all my upcoming projects.

When we decided to add space to our home, we began vetting several local contractors and from the very beginning, Ed and team were completely differentiated. From the first meeting in their beautiful warehouse through completion, we ALWAYS felt as though we were their only customer. It was a VERY exclusive experience.

In short, Ed and team were fantastic to work with. Our project included a two story addition with full bath, wrap-around porch, covered porch area, painting our existing house and building, new gutters and downspouts and kitchen refresh. The execution was truly flawless.

Ed was consultative and clearly an expert, but allowed us to discuss our desires and helped guide us to what has become ultimately, our dream space.

The team was incredibly professional from sales, through design, the build teams and follow-up. Misty, our project manager, kept us continuously involved, updated and abreast of any deviations to timing or plan.

S&A "demands" perfection from themselves and their team and it shows in the way the projects are executed. We would absolutely work with Ed and team again!

We contracted S&A after the last contractor was let go for lack of progress and quality. We had our entire 2nd floor remodeled on a 1971 single family home with an addition. Words are not enough to express the transformation. Ed’s crew was efficient and industrious as they tackled the tasks at hand. I am in love with my house again🥰 Ed himself was easy to work with and provided his guidance. I was assigned a project manager who was responsive during the entire project.

We contracted S&A Construction to expand our deck and add a balcony on top of the deck. Ed and his team were excellent and completed the project in a timely manner. They were very responsive, had a dedicated project manager who was reachable after hours and during weekends. They were accommodating of minor changes after kicking off the project. Quality of work was excellent. Ed has a lot of experience and came up with unique solutions to some of the challenges.

We have used S & A Construction for two different projects over the last few years. They did a kitchen remodel for us, and recently finished our entire 3rd floor space - converting an attic into a beautiful bonus room space with a full bathroom and bar area.
They were great to work with. Once we began the process both times, they were able to start our projects very quickly. The timelines they gave were accurate - they work hard and stay on schedule!
Specifically, we worked with Natasha as our project manager, and I would highly recommend her! She is easy to get in touch with, quick at responding, and really knows the ins and outs of what is going on so was able to quickly resolve anything that came up. Once they were finished with our project, about 2 weeks later, I noticed some cracks forming in the ceiling in a few spots. I called Natasha, and within 2 days there was a crew here looking at it, and they were able to repair and patch it up right then for us.
We are so happy with our new space! Thank you S & A!

I contracted with S&A Construction to build a detached 2 car garage with a gym, bathroom, and storage on the 2nd floor. This was a large undertaking and I knew that good communication would be essential. I found that Ed and his office staff, especially Lora, were always easy to get a hold of when needed and Ed reached out proactively and often during the construction process just to keep me apprised of the project status.

They worked very willingly with me to make many custom modifications during the course of the project and they made excellent recommendations and offered guidance along the way. In the end, I am absolutely thrilled with the finished product and they have been extremely prompt in addressing anything that wasn't right, even long after the project was complete (ie, they stand by their work).

In the interest of offering full disclosure, we did feel at times that the work crews and subcontractors didn't always take all the time they needed to plan things out fully before beginning work, and sometimes the work crews weren't as clean or careful with things as they could have been. This meant that sometimes the same thing needed to be done more than once to get it right. However, they never once put up a fuss when we needed them to come back to get something right and they always made good in the end.

I am a very satisfied customer and every time I enter the space, I marvel at how fortunate are to have such a practical and lovely space. The builder's frequent and direct communications along the way, were exceptional and very much appreciated.

We've had to work with a few general contractors over the years and have to say that Ed and the project manager of S&A did an excellent job building the addition to our home. They completed the work within the time frame quoted. The subcontractors were professional and were conscientious of a job well done and working with us as home owners. Ed provided guidance to help us with overall design of the project was key, we are now very happy with our new addition.

This review has required multiple revisions as things continue to come up after our remodel by S&A Construction .Ed's lawyer called me and threatened a defamation law suit. Later I recieved a letter threatening the same. Defamation can only be proven if the statements are not true. I wonder how many people removed their reviews after being intimidated?

Our project failed Town of Wake Forest Inspections 16 times. Our project consisted of an addition to our home with a complete kitchen and master bath remodel. Interior and exterior painting and a new roof over the addition. All of these are services are advertised as being provided on the S&A website.

The roof on the addition developed a leak. Upon further investigation the roof was not installed per building code. This was not caught by the building inspector because that is not an item that they inspect. Only after getting the NC Licensing Board involved did Ed have our roof replaced per code. The roof was repaired and he got to keep his license in good standing with no record of the code violation.

When he came to the house to examine the damage he did not believe that his not following the building code was responsible for the leak. The NC inspector did not agree with his assessment. When it came to the water damage on the ceiling Ed suggested that we just spray paint over the stains and then paint it with ceiling paint. We were concerned that all of the insulation above the ceiling could be growing mold. We ended up having to file on our home owners insurance to have the work done. I asked Ed to pay the $1000 deductible, he did not return my email.
