I’ve been a customer of Pool Scouts for probably close to a year now. One of the features I really liked about their service was the report card I would get emailed with before and after photos of my pool after each service. I have a card on file to make it easy for auto payments. Yesterday, I received a report card with yesterday’s date on it, photos, and the attached invoice. My debit card was charged. When I got home I discovered that my pool was NOT cleaned. It still has algae on the walls and leaves at the bottom of the pool and two dead frogs floating. Whoever filled out the report card completely falsified it and used old photos of my pool. To have the audacity to falsify a report card and charge me for a service that was not completed is so far beyond unprofessional. To top it off, I’ve called two days in a row and left two messages with their answering service and they can’t be bothered to call me back. Beyond bad business.

We love Pool Scouts! Their services are reasonably priced. They provide chemicals if I don't have them. I like getting my weekly report with before and after pics and paying weekly the day of service. Our tech gets along well with our dog - what more could we ask for!!

Beware. Very shady practices. Sometimes the "report" of work done is padded with extra things that were never done. Today, the tech arrived, pulled his vacuum to the pool edge, never vacuumed, skimmed some leaves from the pool surface and dumped them in our landscape, never tested the water, and was leaving when I confronted him. Since this behavior seemed to be a pattern, I timed how long the tech was here on property. From door open to door close, he was on our property for a total of 7 minutes and 57 seconds. I would rate this company Zero stars if I could.

I saw that they replied to my review. I got a different pool company and years later my "sub standard" equipment as they say below is working fine and my pool still looks crystal clear after I changed to a company that actually hires competent employees. Dealing with this company and their point of contact was a joke.

We asked Pool Scouts to maintain our pool after we moved out of our house while we waited for it to close. Alas, the pool went green just before the closing, and we were worried about the new owners seeing that! We were in Spain, and the company just could have told us to forget it. However, the owner promised to fix the problem, and I connected him with the new owner, and they were going to make it right. That kind of integrity is hard to find these days. They are also very efficient in their reporting: they send a before and after set of pictures of your pool, as well as an accounting of what they did.

You know it's great service because your pool is beautiful all the time. Lowcountry Pool Scouts come out right on schedule ... they clean the pool, blow the deck, add whatever chemicals are needed. They email me a report on the spot with the before & after pictures ... again, now my only job is enjoying the pool! Not cleaning it ...

I was on a family vacation - our rental hadn’t cleaned the pool when we arrived - no response from rental agency! I immediately search the area and found Ray! This is the most professional owner , I have encountered in doing business. He immediately had us scheduled for first available to address my issue and continued to check with me as I dealt with the agency’s issues. Even stopped by after the agency cleaned the pool to check on things .. True customer service - I highly recommend anyone in the area to use Ray for their services …. Cannot appreciate the professionalism and help that someone didn’t need to provide to an a person staying there for a week! Truly appreciate your character!
