My experience with Phoenix Strategies has been so wonderful. The 40 hour mediation training I completed was very well rounded with lecture, time for asking questions, hands-on practice and honest constructive feedback. What I appreciated the most about taking my course with Phoenix Strategies is that the support I felt during training didn't stop when the training was over. Alumni of Phoenix Strategies continue to be updated on current mediation news, other Phoenix Strategies courses, upcoming events and opportunities etc. I have experienced a genuine connection, support and encouragement from the staff members/trainers at Phoenix Strategies. Equally as important, I feel confident using the mediation skills I learned and practiced in training and have gone on to a successfully mediate many cases.

This course was a wonderful place to begin my journey as a mediator, and I really appreciated the support of the instructors, who were all excellent. My personal learning style did much better with the role playing, more interactive aspects of the course, so I found the lecture sections to be a bit challenging... but that's just based on my own personal learning preferences. Since 2012 I have taken two courses at Phoenix Strategies. All the staff are excellent. They have many years experience in their specialties, extremely professional, and care about the individual progress of each of their students. Classes are well managed with an effective blend of course presentation and question/answer sections. Staff is very available before and during the course for any concerns or questions. Once a student graduates from a course there is good follow up for 'lunch and learn' events. Occasional opportunities to sit in on specific mediations are also offered to students. I have completed three courses with Phoenix Strategies. Monica and Jan are very knowledgeable subject matter experts, gifted instructors, and highly personable individuals! The PSI course model is, in my opinion, outstanding!

The small class instruction allows for feedback from other students and the instructors. The role-playing opportunities are numerous, and add another dimension to the learning experience! Finally, the recorded sessions allow students to learn from their mistakes, and improve their skills, in a nurturing environment.

I credit them with enabling me to acquire tools which are allowing me to become a more confident, capable and experienced mediator. I also appreciate their willingness to maintain contact with alumni and offer them co-mediation opportunities.

I recently completed Phoenix Strategies 40 hour Basic Mediation Training and found it to be a phenomenal course. Conflict can create emotional chaos especially when managed ineffectively. In this class, I learned specific and practical methods that have helped me to build conversation and reduce chaos in the midst of conflict. I found Monica and Jan to be excellent communicators, as well as professional and supportive instructors. I highly recommend this course to professionals as well as parents.

I have considerable experience in the business world and decided to enter into professional mediation. I completed the forty hour training class through Phoenix Strategies and the experience was outstanding. Not only are your taught by experienced professionals in the industry, you are provided with excellent printed resources for after you complete the classes. Each participant also will have actual experience mediating fictional cases with agitated opponents in conflicts. They offer the benefit of video recording and review of your performance by the instructors, coaches, and others in the class. I can recommend them with no reservations.
