Shameful organization and shameful leadership. For years I have tried to work with Overton Brooks in good faith, but it never fails that I am given conflicting information, almost always a rude person who refuses to verify what they’re telling me to do.

I’ve also had to get my congressman involved years ago when service related tuberculosis was officially told to me by Overton Brooks that that disease was a “prior condition” and they tried to bill me $7,000 for INH treatment. After speaking to my congressman and a seven month battle with Overton Brooks they finally decided yo do the right thing and cover my service related condition.

I’ve been yelled at by psych appointment PA who told me my traumatic experience seeing children blown up in Afghanistan “wasn’t a big deal” because she had been in a car accident where she hurt her neck and those experiences are equivalent in her mind. This woman was also taking phone calls on her personal cell and shopping for shoes in a psyche appointment.

The Overton Brooks VA front line staff seem openly hostile, ignorant, and (when I hear statements where they don’t know they’re being overhead), racially biased against white people and Hispanics.

I served my country for years and u would have never expected an enemy in the Veterans affairs system. I have so many more stories that just seem to be comical at this point. It certainly appears that every single action taken by Overton Brooks is to “delay, deny” and to push you off onto another department or filing another form or rejecting the form you just gave them because one page wasn’t initialed. It just feels spiteful

I've been using the Overton Brooks VA Med Center for over a year now and they have always been fantastic. The doctors, nurses, technicians, ER personnel, everyone is always courteous and they do their work diligently.

My son and I were assaulted by a patient advocate there. I am considered elderly for my age. I never received a call from any administrative person saying they were sorry for what happened. And the man is still employed there. Veterans should not have to beg to get medical needs met. The right hand doesn't seem to know what the other is doing. When you call you will passed around. I could go on but it doesn't seem to do any good.

I am the owner of AA LAWNS ETC. LLC.
I have tried since July to get paid for my services . I have called every number I can to get help . No one seems to know who to contact . Their is a third party involved name of company is Sanford Federal name of employee that is to pay me name is Hamza Ahabri that is employed with Sanford Federal hired by Overton Brooks. I contacted the Inspector General and was told they can’t do anything , even though it’s misuse of government money . So if Sanford Federal keeps my $60,000 and nothing happens to them but we get slapped and penalties on us if we owe the government one penny. I hope someone out there reads this and sends it to the right person because I sure can’t get in touch with anyone . Thank you for your help , I’m a small women owned business and enjoy what I do but I put my own money in this project not knowing this would be the outcome.

I was referred through Community care to Willis Knighton- Portico for a mammogram and diagnostic U/S. The VA was suppose to pay. I received a bill and called community care only to be told to call WK. I called and gave the reference number, 2 months ago. Now I have received another bill and no one in community care will answer the phone. The VA is so patheticly disgusting, it should be shut down.

My experience has been bottom tier. Neglect, malpractice, and misdiagnoses are just a few of the issues I've experienced insane a short 6 month time frame. Patient advocates do not answer nor return calls. Ive been waiting MONTHS for help and haven't received anything. Fyi, a lawsuit can be filed for malpractice for misdiagnoses and neglect. These issues I am facing have been ongoing for 2 years now.

Been receiving my care here since I retired in 2015 and it's been a nightmare of not having the right doctors employed or on staff, to not having the right medication needed for procedures, not refilling medications on time or enough to get through until next appointments , no travel reimbursement, long wait times, and rude staff. At what point does this hospital undergo a congressional investigation? All that money for new monitors and propaganda but not providing any actual care.

Have had nothing but problems with this terrible VA hospital. Transportation department refuses to pay travel pay, billing department will talk over you and tell it how they see it instead of how it actually is and anyone that answers the phone is rude almost as if it is part of their training. This VA trash hole absolutely does not care about veterans. As a 70% disabled Veteran, I rather become a part of the 22 a day then step foot in this hospital with staff I have already dealt with when asking for needed help.
