Leaf Medical is overall okay with one BIG exception. I’ve seen a few different doctors and they are usually punctual and fairly attentive, some more than others. The assisting staff and reception are usually all good.

But I’ve seen Dr. Cross twice over the years for quick appointments and felt compelled to warn people that he is rude, condescending, and unhelpful. He does not act like he cares what your problem is or how it will be solved. He does not want to listen or give thoughtful comments. He looks at you like you’re an idiot when you ask questions or try to clarify how to take your prescription. Based on other reviews, this is common behavior from Dr. Cross.

I didn’t see him for full check-ups, so maybe he’s better with his regular patients, but I’ve never had a doctor who made me feel so brushed off. I will never see him again for even a minor issue.

He made a wildly inaccurate assessment of a well known medical condition I have, needlessly interrupting a completely successful ongoing treatment process. I will continue using Leaf, as I have been for years, but I will never work with Dr. Cross again.

Needed a new primary care clinic cause my old one was horrible. It is very hard to find a good PCP in Brooklyn sadly. Came to Leaf Medical cause the reviews looked great and wow they did not disappoint. Dr. Christina Jones is the PCP I saw, she is so pleasant and accommodating, made me feel comfortable during my entire physical. Beyond this, clinic space is clean and lovely, ancillary staff are efficient, intake process is smooth, great schedule availability, rooms are clean and best of all I love that you can review your med results on their app and message the Providers on the app. Overall an amazing experience, they have me hooked and I will be coming back again. If you reading this, you looked up a gem - go visit 🙂

Avoid this place at all costs. Total SCAM of a place run by unprofessional, unorganized, incompetent 'medical workers'. This has been, without a doubt, the worst experience I've had with any healthcare provider. The entire operation feels disorganized and incompetent, and I genuinely question whether they even understand how basic healthcare processes work.

I came in for a simple medical clearance that involved a blood test and urine sample. What should have been a quick, one-time visit turned into three separate trips—each time they messed something up and couldn’t manage to complete everything in one go because no one knows how healthcare works at this place and they make up lies to save face. It honestly became laughable how little anyone seemed to know or care about getting it right.

To make matters worse, they lost my urine sample, which is honestly mind-blowing. No one, including the so-called "doctor" had a clue what was going on at any point in time. After wasting so much of my week dealing with their incompetence, I decided to leave and go elsewhere. I’m genuinely concerned about their qualifications.

What should have been a straightforward appointment turned into a total nightmare, and I will never be coming back. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else that actually knows how to handle basic medical procedures.

I cannot recommend Dr Sunwoo enough. I have been her patient for many years and am alway s struck by her sharp intelligence and warm bedside manner (a difficult combination to find). She is truly a gem. She recently ordered imaging that found a tumor. Her instinct was right and I am so grateful to her. She followed up twice and has been a key part of my care team.

Linda Chen the new nurse practitioner in the office is also great and was so caring and attentive for my recent diagnosis.

During my appointment with Dr. Cross, I inquired about a health concern, which he immediately showed disinterest for. After my 2nd question, he inferred I would waste the entire appointment by focusing on this specific health concern. I hoped he would provide some insight, but he essentially brushed me off.

The following Monday, I was notified for a positive antigen test through my bloodwork (unrelated to the previous concern). Dr. Cross suggested I "might" have the virus, but did not offer retesting resources and only advised to "take it easy on alcohol and fatty foods." Dr. Cross then referred me to the wrong type of specialist for my diagnosis, so I independently found a different specialist for further treatment.

I was retested with this specialist and all of my results came back negative. My specialist was shocked by such a random, and uninformed diagnosis. In addition to the lab's false positive, Dr. Cross showed disrespectful bedside manner and poor/minimal advice after suggesting a serious virus contraction.

Terribly organized. They want you to book everything online and have no system for conveying critical information about their appointments. They booked me for bloodwork without mentioning that I’d need to see a Dr before getting bloodwork (after I saw one about 6 months ago and delayed getting bloodwork done), didn’t tell me to fast, and then got mad at ME and searched their records for some proof that they informed me of this…which they never found. The place is a mess…find somewhere better.

Clean space in a very quaint neighborhood. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Chu was very kind and has excellent bedside manners. This is my first time here as I was looking for a new dr. This one's a keeper!
