After a 31 year marriage my ex husband thought he was just going to skip out on his family as well as his responsibilities and obligations.But this was not going to happen on Doug Dreyer's watch! Mr. Dreyer saw from the beginning what I had been dealing with and made sure I was taken care of before, during and after my divorce. Doug Dreyer was horrible representation on a simple child support modification case. He negotiated a cash settlement with my ex-husbands lawyer, without discussing it with me. After court, he took to the bench outside the courtroom and insisted that he was going to keep the $2000 cash that I just received in court for child support. After becoming upset about it, Doug Dreyer gave me $1000 of it. Simply unethical.

Thank you to Doug & Claudette for assisting in our step-parent adoption. The situation was tremulous in the beginning coming off of the heals of a messy divorce and nasty custody battle. Doug kept my husband and I well informed of what to expect, made sure all of the paperwork was done correctly the first time, acted as a barrier between me & my ex-husband, treated my children with kindness & respect to the point of sharing a personal story with my 14 year old son to put his mind and heart at ease. The day of Court, Doug made sure that we were able to go back to chambers, meet with the Judge privately and discuss our situation openly in a private and intimate setting. Our adoption was approved by the Judge the first time in court. Doug - we appreciate your dedicate effort and time to our special situation. You and Claudette definitely handled my family with the utmost respect and positive encouragement.
