I’m extremely disappointed with the service provided by attorney Elizabeth Noellin and her assistant, Astrid Santiago. Initially, everything seemed promising—timely updates, thorough document checks, and consistent communication. However, once our petition was approved, the quality of service drastically declined. Communication became sporadic, updates stopped completely, and they failed to check the agreed-upon Dropbox for uploaded documents, even though I had been updating it for months.

The billing structure was equally frustrating and lacked transparency. They charged a flat fee upfront but then billed separately for tasks like reading emails, responding to them, and answering phone calls. Yet, they failed to proactively inform us of how much credit remained unless specifically asked. This lack of clarity made the process feel unnecessarily complicated and stressful.

Unfortunately, I also encountered unprofessional behavior from both Ms. Noellin and her assistant. Ms. Noellin once insisted on speaking to my husband instead of me, claiming she couldn’t understand me—despite my speaking fluent English. Ironically, my husband doesn’t fully understand English, but she still preferred communicating with him. Even after they talked in Spanish, he still did not understand what she was trying to say. She then decided to continue talking to me and after trying to explain in multiple ways so she could understand, she FINALLY, calmed down and understood what I was trying to ask her. This behavior was both unprofessional and disrespectful.

Astrid Santiago, her assistant, also displayed unprofessionalism. After weeks of silence, I followed up, only to be told they were missing documents. I informed her that everything had been uploaded to the Dropbox, as agreed, and she admitted she hadn’t been checking it because she wasn’t receiving notifications. Instead of apologizing, she curtly instructed me to notify her directly moving forward. When I asked her to address me more respectfully, she dismissed my concerns, denied being rude, and even spoke over me. Both Ms. Noellin and Astrid often came across as dismissive and unwilling to address concerns in a professional manner.

When I brought Astrid’s behavior to Ms. Noellin’s attention, her response was equally disheartening. She sent two emails: the first, unprofessional and excluding my husband, reprimanded me for how I spoke to Astrid and stated she didn’t want to hear a “recitation of what happened.” The second email, which included my husband, was more formal but equally dismissive. She promised to refund any unused credits and suggested I find another attorney. However, as of now, we have not received a refund, and the process feels inequitable due to the initial lack of clarity surrounding the credits and charges.

This attorney and her assistant have created one of the most disappointing and stressful experiences I’ve ever encountered. If you value professionalism, respect, and effective communication, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Choosing Ms. Noellin’s office means risking feeling unheard, undervalued, and frustrated—all while paying high fees.

Update: I was present in the meeting when we discussed the billing structure. Ms. Noellin will ignore your presence and call you names like “Ugly Ogre” when challenged on her behavior. The Dropbox usage was mutually agreed upon, and I have emails to confirm it. Please save yourself the frustration and embarrassment caused by these two individuals.
