It was terrible for the office not to have any notice that it was closed today. I spent over an hour to travel here and wasted gas money. It should not be listed as “open,” when it is closed during regular business hours. And, of course the phones take an hour to get through. This was really poor communication and not very nice.

I came here because the Glendale branch had problems with the system. I just needed help to resolve 2 situations and the first one was rejected with no effort to try to resolve and the second was almost the same. I just needed orientation, but the lady probably doesnt want to deal with people.

Extremely good workers I need it help they did I thank God for having good angels working there. Each time I required help that to me was hard yet for them it was no big deal.

There's obvious corruption going on inside this place. Armenians getting food benefits etc and they are arriving dressed with designer clothes and driving fancy cars and there's a lot of armenian workers. They get the hand out by their own people. There should be a investigation regarding fraud within their employees.

The Security was pretty helpful because I had a lot of stuff that Wasn’t allowed inside, but instead of telling me flat out NO like the DPSS office in Pasadena would, he offered to watch it for me until I got done with my business. And that made a big difference. And the man at the desk was very helpful too. Overall it was good vibes. I was done in 20 minutes too!

The workers are very knowledgeable and try to help but most of the people that use these services have some real attitude and entitlement issues..

Closing time was at 5pm on Monday. I asked to sign up for services at 3pm. The older woman told me that it was too late. She was impolite and condescending, and in spite of the language barrier, I graciously listened. Her exact words were, "No you can't. The process takes two hours and you won't have enough time. Here. Register online". She handed me a flier, someone who was in dire need of assistance. Of course she lied and simply didn't feel like helping anyone. The office was not filled up with people, either. What could I do, besides leave? I went a few miles away to the Van Nuys location, arrived at 4pm, and was just fine. Their organization has far better, empathetic employees who took the time out to hear my request. I walked away with resources and my problem was solved in half an hour. Don't go to this DPSS office. You're probably better off going to a different location...staffed with individuals who actually care.
