Just got off the phone with Anita. Appointment was at 1:30 she called me back an hour later and her tone on the phone was so condescending. She told me to do a pretrial diversion because her retainer is 5k. I called through my company's EAP program to use my benefits. I called because I wanted legal help because I have never been in a situation like this. I was willing to pay whatever I needed but the way she brushed me off l had to come look at her reviews and see. I am going with someone else I spoke to prior than her that was very helpful in free consultation and has great reviews. I will also be spending 2k less. Anita I honestly wish you never called back. Me calling for a pretrial and poking my lip out to look sad in hopes they help me was not the 30 minute legal consolation I expected or very professional.

Same day update after email sent from Anitra to me and I am assuming someone in EAP.

I just received a very nasty email from Anitra saying that I resisted giving her documentation, that I was difficult, AND that I resisted her legal fees. I am completely baffled at this behavior from a EAP resource. None of those things are true. I wanted legal consultation and if reading my documents she knew she did not want to take the small case I would have respected that more. Money was never an issue. I just wanted to make sure my case was handled properly because I have never needed legal help before.

Ms. Price was the best lawyer I could have ever asked for getting me through my situation. Going into my divorce I had no idea what I was to expect. Ms. Price laid everything out to me plain as day and never withheld what to be expectant of no matter if it was good, bad, or ugly. Throughout the process I had times where my anxiety would increase due to the future proceedings, leading me to place a call to Ms. Price and she would assure me I would be okay. Almost instantaneously I would feel better when we got off the phone. If there was ever a time I wouldn’t be able to reach Ms. Price, which was rare, she would get back to me at her earliest convenience. Dealing with lawyers in the past I never knew if I was another name on their docket or if they were truly doing what was in my best interest. With her, I never felt that way.
