DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU NEED HELP WITH RECOVERY FROM SURGERY.

This company told the hospital that they took our insurance after my husband had a total knee replacement. After calling them for a few days trying to get them to send a physical therapist they finally called me back and told me they don’t accept the insurance ( 5 days later), because it’s through the VA, WHICH IT ISN’T. Talked to the case worker at Metro Methodist Hospital and they said that they told her that they were going to help me find a different home health, which didn’t happen. Your employee Margie will not call me back or I get hung up on when someone transfers me to her. What kind of customer service is that? Leaving someone that needs physical therapy to recover 5 days after surgery with nothing is RIDICULOUS!

This Company is not professional, does not check the background of employees and is shady. I would not recommends leaving your loved one in their care. Their hiring practice is anyone they can hire (including ex-cons) they hire. Their goal is money to be made at any cost with no care for elderly or HIPPA private information. The lack of professionalism is not good at all.

I want to say how impressed I was today with Rick. My 82 year old mother was recently released from the hospital. He went over so many things we did not know, things the doctor should have told us. He listened to what we had to say and gave us great advice. He has a great bed side manner and is very
knowledgeable about his field in nursing.

My friend Gill is supposed to have the services of this company and it’s been a month and they haven’t done a damn thing, he is in bad need and the provider that was supposed to come canceled can you believe that, pathetic a zero rating.

This is the 2nd time we have worked with AMHH, with Claudia in particular. She has always been extremely thorough and helpful, as well as very professional and responsive with anything we need. She helped us with answering and making sure my husband is being seen by a nurse. I would strongly recommend her to anyone to advocate for patients. She goes above and beyond & she truly does care!

Study Time

If I could give this company no stars I would. I think it’s fair to start with the positives and then I’ll go the negatives.

Positives:
1) The admission nurse was friendly and gave more insight to the company.

Negatives:
1) Extremely difficult to get in contact with someone. And if you do get in contact with someone they are rude and don’t seem to care about your issues.
2) Nurses phone you late into the evening letting you know that they’ll be there the next day only to be late.
3) Nurses lied to the company about attempts to contact us for care.
4) They were supposed to help with supplies but they never appropriately did. I say appropriately because they did eventually (2 weeks before being discharged from them) give me supplies but it was the wrong supplies.
5) They sent over a nurse when a colostomy change was needed but the nurse said she didn’t know how. So I’m wondering what is the point of counting that as a visit and sending her if she can’t perform the skills of her job.

Honestly this list goes on and on and I can all day but I’ll spare you all those and will just say this:
Bring yourself or your family member anywhere else. If this is the only home health company your insurance company approves then you are better off not even getting home health.

My mother in law is 82. She has many health problems. I want to thank Brandi for all her help. She came over immediately to help and told us to get my mom to the hospital. She has been on vacation but still kept in contact. Thank you Brandi.
