If only taxes themselves were as fun and kind as Barbara was during my visit with her. She was not only thorough with her tax questions but spent the time getting to know me personally and my situation to get the best picture of how to help me get the most out of my returns and be the best protected for the future. I felt taken care of and welcome. It's a genuine family business so if that matters to you you'll know you're doing business that supports a hard working diligent family business doing right by our community.

People were very sweet and informed. However, I wouldn't recommend going with them. We were told that we had no issues with our filed taxes, and we're told a $2,900 number to pay. We have been getting notices in the mail from the IRS saying we haven't paid since May. We paid in April. We were told to respond with the confirmation number and we got another notice, this time with additional "failure to pay" fees. Turns out, there was an issue with employer withholding, which the staff failed to say anything about, and we have to pay an additional $3K.
In short, our total tax bill was over $6K, the professionals at Accurate Tax and Preparation told us it was under $3K (says so on the paperwork), and now we have to pay OVER the initial $6K, due to taking too long to pay.
The people are lovely, which is why this is 2 stars, instead of 1 star. That being said, go with someone else for your tax needs. You may end up paying twice what you think you're due.

Barbara was a super sweet lady. Showed up for Notary and they normally see clients on an appointment basis. However, no sooner than I was walking away she came outside and assisted me right away while she had another client in her office. Very thankful for her help.

This was my first year filing taxes here. I recently started a small business so this year things were a bit confusing for us. Mrs. Barbara was so great. We were able to drop off our tax info from last year and all of our documents before the appointment so the day of we were in and out in a little over an hour. Mrs. Barbara is up to date on all the new tax laws and a wealth of helpful information. We will definitely be continuing with Accurate Tax for years to come!

After years of going to the same place uncontrollable circumstances caused my wife and I to find a new place to have our taxes done. If you are like most people today you look for reviews of places to go before deciding. Please do not let a lack of reviews affect your decision to choose Accurate or a single negative review from 2014 influence your decision to gloss over this business. Mrs. Barbra takes her time to know her customers before doing your taxes. She is wonderfully friendly and extremely professional, despite having a small web presence (hopefully other customers will fallow my lead and leave a review!) I am 100% happy my wife found her business. Mrs. Barbra doesn’t charge you half your return or your first born and she treats you like a friend. She helps you to understand your return and explains how you could do better for yourself. If you are like I was you think $345 is not that bad at a place like H&R or one of those others because they pretend to care while lining their pockets with your money. So make the smart choice and choose a place like Accurate, I know I’ll ba back as long as they are in business!!!

I was encouraged to do my own taxes for a while and then I just got tired of doing them. When my dad passed and I needed help with his final taxes, and other things, I went to Barbara, she has a wealth of information, and she keeps up with all the latest tax info. It was so good to have someone else's brain to think for me. This year was the first time I filed my taxes before the deadline. I brought in all my paperwork before my appointment and when I got there, she only had two questions for me and my taxes were done. I just had to sign the paperwork and pay. It may not be that simple for everyone because every case is different. I filed on 3/20 and my refunds were back by the 3/29, that's lightening fast! She also does business taxes! At Accurate Tax, everyone is so professional and friendly, you feel like you're at home. I have been going to Barbara every for over10 years for taxes. She is so knowledgeable and always up to date with every tax guidelines. Since the COVID, she now provides curb side services which is very convenient for me, in which I recently had an operation. I am so lucky to have a tax person conveniently located in Evans. She not only do taxes, she also assisted me in starting my small business, which is growing.
